Your Marital Situation Will Determine How You File

Whether you file for a contested or uncontested divorce is often dependent on the particular circumstances of your marital situation. There are four marital situations in which you can file for an uncontested divorce. In all other situations you will probably have to go through a contested divorce.

Listed below are the four marital situations which lend themselves to an uncontested divorce filing. For each situation check the boxes that apply. If you check all (3) three boxes for any situation then you can file an uncontested divorce. Start with Situation 1.

Situation 1

You and your spouse have no marital issues to resolve (no children, no child custody issues, no child support to be calculated, no alimony to discuss, no property to divide, no debt to split up, etc.,)

There is no Need for a Written Settlement Agreement

Your Spouse Will Cooperate with the Divorce Process

Congratulations! If you checked all 3 boxes in Situation 1 then you can get your divorce filed and completed in 60-90 days at a flat fee. Contact my office at (844) 431-3380 or via email using the contact form to ask me any questions, discuss the process or to get the process started immediately.

Situation 2

You and your spouse have no marital issues to resolve (no children, no child custody issues, no child support to be calculated, no alimony to discuss, no property to divide, no debt to split up, etc.,)

Your Spouse Will Not Cooperate with the Divorce Process

Congratulations! If you checked all 3 boxes in Situation 2 then you can get your divorce filed and completed in months at a flat fee. Contact my office at (844) 431-3380 or via email using the contact form to ask me any questions, discuss the process, or to get the process started immediately.

Situation 3

You and your spouse have marital issues to resolve (you have children, or you have assets to divide – real estate, cars, bank accounts, stocks, bonds, retirement assets, or you have debt to split)

You Need a Written Settlement Agreement

Your spouse Will Cooperate with the Divorce Process

Congratulations! If you checked the 3 boxes in Situation 3 then you can get your divorce filed and completed in months at a flat fee. Contact my office at (844) 431-3380 or via email using the contact form to ask me questions, discuss the process, or to get the process started immediately.

Situation 4

You Need a Written Settlement Agreement

Your spouse Will Not Cooperate with the Divorce Process

Congratulations! If you checked the 3 boxes in Situation 4 then you can get your divorce filed and completed. Contact my office at (844) 431-3380 or via email using the contact form to discuss the process, or get the process started.

Contested Divorce

If your marital circumstances do not fit any of the above four (4) situations then you will have to proceed with a contested divorce. Click here to learn about the contested divorce process.
